Thirty nationally recognized artists from all over the United States will participate in the fourth annual Bucks County Plein Air Festival to produce art from life (as opposed to in the studio). Artists will paint the rolling landscapes, lakes and rivers, covered bridges, stone farm houses, and historic estates of Bucks County that have inspired artists for more than a century. The Festival will take place from October 1-6, 2019 with multiple events and painting locations listed on our calendar. All work created in scenic and historic Bucks County will be on display and available for purchase online an in person.
The juried show awards more than $15,000 in prizes and culminates in two signature events, a VIP Collector's Preview & Pre-Sale Reception on Saturday, October 5 and a public festival on Sunday, October 6, both located in the Historic Tyler Mansion at Bucks County Community College.
The Bucks County Plein Air Festival is jointly hosted by Bucks County Community College, the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, Alan Fetterman Fine Arts, and The Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County. Proceeds will support art scholarships and arts programming in Bucks County.
The planning committee extends its deepest appreciation to the artists, art patrons, hosts and sponsors, and countless volunteers who allow us to welcome some of the country's most accomplished artists to vibrant and historic Bucks County.
